Captain Dean Pilatti

Dean was born in Perth, Australia and has always been involved with the water and the activities that surround it for most of his life. Dean has been in the yachting industry for over ten years and began as a Captain on a 27m classic sailing vessel. He then moved into motor yachts and joined a 40m as First Officer where he stayed for two years. He was then invited to join a 50m new-build where he stayed for the next 7 years as First Officer. This boat chartered extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Bahamas giving him the experience needed to become a Captain on a charter yacht in the Mediterranean. This is Dean's second season in command of Felidan and his experience in Mediterranean yacht chartering is reflected in the high standards that are part of Felidan's reputation. An enthusiastic motor cycle rider and kite boarder, Dean also welcomed a baby girl into his family in a year ago.

Samuel Southall - Chef
Australia
Sam is 27 and was also born in Perth. This season, Felidan is pleased to offer Sam's 10 years of culinary expertise to its charter guests. Sam spent the first six years of his career working in two of Western Australia's finest establishments, one being Fraser's Restaurant which is noted for its outstanding seafood. Having decided to spread his wings and combine his love for travel and adventure with his career in cookery, he set off to London. Over the next four years he worked in a variety of fine dining establishments in England, France, Austria and Canada working with highly respected chefs from each nation, including Master Chef Garry Hollihead, a two-star Michelin chef. Having been a special guest chef at this year's Canadian Food Festival and the head chef at a high-end French hotel, Sam brings to Felidan a wide range of knowledge of the cuisines of the Pacific Rim, France, England, India and Thailand. Creating a menu around your needs and desires will be Sam's pleasure.

Joachim Howard - Mate
Australia
Jo was born on the Pacific island of Papua New Guinea but grew up in Australia. He joined Felidan at the beginning of 2004 as mate after 8 years of yachting experience throughout Australia, Europe and North America. Jo has spent the previous 4 seasons on large yachts which chartered extensively in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, including a period involved with the completion of a 52m new-build. He is continuing his maritime studies towards the goal of becoming a captain himself. He brings valuable experience and a good sense of humor to the team and with Felidan's extensive water sports equipment, Jo will make your charter as much fun as possible.

Steven Bell – Chief Engineer
Ireland
Steven was born and raised near Belfast where, at the age of 17, he moved to Glasgow to join the British Merchant Navy. He spent three years at college training for his Engineering Officer's ticket and became a qualified Officer in 2000. From then on Steven has sailed the world on some of the largest vessels afloat including VLCC's and ferries before taking his first yachting job in 2003. He has previously been an engineer on a 73m Amels and a 50m Feadship and now brings his experience to Felidan to keep her in the very finest mechanical condition. He has a keen interest in fishing and watersports and enjoys restoring vintage cars - a '47 Bentley is one of his latest.

Danielle Tucker – Chief Stewardess
Australia
Danni was born in Melbourne on New Years Eve. After growing up in the country town of Ararat in Western Victoria, she left at age 23 to go backpacking for the next four years throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, America, Canada and South Africa. During this time she worked in all aspects of the hospitality industry. Danni heard about the yachting industry while completing the famous 1000 km walking pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. She has now been in the industry for the past 3 years and has filled the roles of cook, deckhand and stewardess. With her training and experience in fine dining and silver service, Danni will make your stay on Felidan a very enjoyable one.

Hayley Kerr - Stewardess
New Zealand
Hayley was born in Australia but moved at a young age to New Zealand. She has had a varied career including horticulture, beauty therapy and IT sales. Deciding that it was time to do some traveling, she moved to the South of France in 2003. While working in yachting bar in Antibes, she heard about the yachting industry and soon started in her role as a stewardess. Hayley has done both the Mediterranean and Caribbean charter seasons, finding it an excellent way to enjoy work and life and to see some of the sights that the world has to offer. Now into her second season on Felidan, Hayley will give Felidan's guests the pampering they have come to expect on their charters.

Lauren Power - Stewardess
Australia
Lauren was born in Noosa, a coastal town in Queensland, Australia, where she was virtually raised on the beach. By the age of 21 she had obtained degrees in both mathematics and commerce while maintaining an active lifestyle as a tennis coach and enjoying surfing, golfing, touch football and snow boarding. Lauren is new to Felidan this season after two years onboard a large, Mediterranean yacht.

With the exception of Sam, all of the Felidan crewmembers have full STCW '95 qualifications which include training in:
- First Aid
- Firefighting
- Survival
- Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities
